Do all the lions, tigers, and bears, etc. look the same? No, each intarsia piece is unique. There similarities to be sure, but wood grain, species, etc. all produce one-of-a-kind items. Back to Top
Can I specify the woods that I would like in a piece? Absolutely, and your druthers will be accommodated as much as is possible. Back to Top
How long does it take to have a custom piece created? All work is done ASAP. It could range anywhere from a few days to longer. If you have a specific project in mind, contact me. I would be able to give you a better answer at that time. Back to Top
How much do the pieces cost? Would you believe the prices are based upon the mood I'm in at the time of sale? Actually, at this point in time the prices are based on the number of pieces in a project and the skills used. Back to Top
Do you give lessons? At this time, no. I suggest you learn from the best, Judy Gale Roberts and Jerry Booher. They may be contacted at www.intarsia.com Back to Top
What kind of woods do you use? I use the woods that give me the colors and look I desire whenever possible. Woods easily available are those I use the most. I hauled 12' of aspen back from Tennessee in my luggage, but don't wish to do that very often. Back to Top
Where can I get ideas for pieces that you might make for me? Again, I refer you to the Roberts Studio. If you go to www.intarsia.com, you will be able to view their patterns. There are other sources as well, but trust me none hold a candle to theirs. Back to Top
Am I restricted to a pattern? In a sense, yes, you are. Even in a custom piece a pattern must be created. Back to Top
